Growing up, I was the student who loved to edit my classmates’ essays. I still encounter shock and disbelief from friends and colleagues who discover that I actually like “looking for missing commas and stuff,” among other things.

The unique combination of writing, editing, PR, marketing, development, and strategic planning experience I’ve gained over time enriches my work. I earned a bachelor’s degree from Mercyhurst College in communication and public relations, and have completed post-graduate certificates in proofreading and copy editing.

Highlights of my professional experience include: being the communications manager for a national, nonprofit organization; education, marketing, and outreach consultant for a technology-based economic development initiative; and lead copy writer for a business website design and development company.

The types of clients I work with today are as diverse as the writing and editing assistance they each desire—from a sporting equipment retailer to a public health initiative, an educational curriculum provider to a college graduate putting together a cover letter.

However, in everything that I've accomplished, my greatest satisfaction has been hearing others describe me as talented, easy to work with, sincere, and dependable.
